Propel Your Future Beyond School

Become a globally-attuned thinker, and an international achiever.

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP), builds students’ inquiring mindset, fosters their desire to learn, and prepares them to excel at their careers and lead meaningful lives.

It is an assessed program for 16 to 19-year-olds, providing world-class preparation for life beyond school through a comprehensive, challenging framework to develop the whole student, focusing on critical thinking and creative problem-solving.

The Diploma Programme (DP) curriculum is made up of six subject groups and the DP core, comprising theory of knowledge (TOK), creativity, activity, service (CAS) and the extended essay. Students choose courses from the following subject groups: studies in language and literature; language acquisition; individuals and societies; sciences; mathematics; and the arts. Students may opt to study additional sciences, individuals and societies, or languages courses instead of the arts. Through the Diploma Programme (DP) core, students reflect on the nature of knowledge, complete independent research and undertake a project that often involves community service. Regardless of the subject selection, all students explore the connections between the six major subject areas, study each subject through an international perspective, reflect critically on aspects of knowledge, pursue one subject in great detail through independent research, and have the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills through local and community service.

IB graduates can better understand the complexities of the world around them, as they are equipped with the skills, empathy and mindset needed to succeed in a fast-changing world. The globally focused curriculum and rigorous preparation enable students to be well prepared for life and succeed in their chosen path.

IB programmes encourage the development of future skills that employers are increasingly looking for, such as teamwork, communication, self-motivation, understanding communities and relationships.

Recognised and respected around the globe, the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme shapes globally-minded, inquiring, confident and multilingual young people.

The comprehensive and challenging framework develops the whole student, focusing on critical thinking and creating problem-solving to prepare them for future success.
