The Melbourne Montessori School (MMS) Foundation was launched in 2014 to promote the culture of giving that exists within our School.
The MMS Foundation supports the advancement of Melbourne Montessori School by nurturing our strong community connections and fundraising to support the School’s strategic agenda. As an independent school, MMS relies on the support of the entire community to fund new capital projects, major maintenance of existing buildings and the School’s scholarships and bursary programmes.
The current goals of the MMS Foundation are to:
- conduct an annual Gift Giving event.
- engage with current families and staff, past students and staff, past parents, and friends of Melbourne Montessori School to celebrate milestones and connect our current and alumni community.
- manage the MMS Scholarship program, which provides annual means-tested scholarships to current and prospective students and reflects our commitment to an inclusive and diverse community.
- build an endowment fund to provide financial security and annual grants to the Schools’ Building Fund, Library Fund and/or Scholarship Fund.
The MMS Foundation Gift Giving 2023 campaign aims to raise $30,000 to commence the transformation of the original church building at the Brighton Campus into a new learning and performing arts precinct. This redevelopment will include a new MMS Theatre that will be the cornerstone of our Performing Arts program and a new mezzanine level Library that will offer a space for study, learning and a place to embrace the joy of literature.
We need your support to bring this new learning and performing precinct to fruition and with your generous gift we can make this a reality for our students, staff, and community.
